Jeremy Jackson is an actor and singer with an estimated net worth of $200 thousand. The Californian-born heartthrob acquired his net worth largely from his role in Baywatch. From the age of seven, the 30 year old’s first assignment was a commercial for Mattel Cars. He went on to do other commercials and appeared on the daytime show Santa Barbara. Jackson also appeared in The Wonder Years and Thunder Alley and appeared in feature films, including The Balkin Trail (with is old buddy David Hasselhoff). In the 90’s Jackson was also a successful pop star and was very popular in Europe and the United States. At the age of thirteen, he recorded first album under Hasselhoff’s record label, Hasselhits. The first album did relatively well, as his single (You Can Run), reached number four in Holland and was closely followed by a top ten hit with another single, French Kiss. Jackson went on to produce several albums including Number One (1994) and Always (1995). In 1991, Jackson landed his most memorable role as the lovable Hobie Buchannon in Baywatch, replacing actor Brandon Call. During his time on Baywatch, Jackson became addicted to drugs and alcohol, which led to his departure from show in 1999. It was his arrest in a drug raid that made Jackson kick his addiction and remain clean for a decade. However the former child star gave into another addiction: this time it was steroids. In 2011, Jackson appeared on VH1’s reality show, Celebrity Rehab With Dr Drew in a bid to address the reason for the new addiction. Jackson also appeared in VH1’s Confessions of a Teen Idol, where he tried to jump start his career. In one episode, he revealed that he beat Leonardo DiCaprio to the role of Hobie Buchannon in Baywatch. In August 2011, the face of Ed Hardy is set to become a member of the Chippendales dance troupe in Las Vegas. Jackson will be replacing 98 degrees singer Jeff Timmons. If all goes well, this will be Jackson’s first job since Celebrity Rehab With Dr Drew.
Jeremy Dunn Jackson (born October 16, 1980 in Newport Beach, California) is an American actor/singer. He is widely known for his role as Hobie Buchannon on the television show Baywatch.
Jackson was featured in Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue in March 2006. He has been referred to as “Mr. MySpace” and was a guest on The Tyra Banks Show. Jackson has been performing in clubs from London to Las Vegas. Jackson endorses Ed Hardy Clothing, and hosts fashion shows around the world for the fashion house.
He appeared on VH1’s Confessions of a Teen Idol, a reality show in which former teen idols attempt to revitalize their careers. In one episode he claimed he beat out Leonardo DiCaprio for the part of Hobie Buchannon; this was later verified by David Hasselhoff. The show is co-produced by Scott Baio and Jason Hervey.
Jeremy is currently working with PhilaDreams Films on the upcoming movie “Dreams,” which is currently being filmed by Thomas J. Walton and Vaughn Goland. It is scheduled to be released in 2013.
Jackson admitted during an interview on his E! TV Special titled “Child Star Confidential” that he had a severe drug problem during the time he was on Baywatch. He partly attributes his decision to leave Baywatch to his drug problem, as the drugs made him feel that working on the show was beneath him. After being arrested in a methamphetamine raid and a long stint in a drug rehab, Jackson says beat his addiction, remaining clean and sober since 2000. Jackson appeared on as a guest on the news talk show The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch on CNBC and on ABC’s The View to talk about his drug addiction and methamphetamine in Hollywood.
In 2008, a sex tape of Jackson and adult video star Sky Lopez was offered for sale. Jackson claimed that he was physically threatened into giving the tape to men who claimed that they represented Lopez.
In 2011, Jackson was a fifth season cast member on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, in which he was in recovery for steroid addiction
